Get started
Open Mark to enter a local library, without creating a Mark account. Capture text and images in Ideas, then find them again with tags and search. Organize your thinking in documents in Knowledge.
Saving and backups
Entries are saved on your current device first. “Saved on this device” confirms a local save; it does not mean another device has received it.
Open the avatar or Settings, then Local library → Backup and restore. Markdown exports are suitable for reading in other tools; full backups restore your data. Restoration creates a new library and preserves the original. Keep every file in the backup folder.
About iCloud Sync
Mark offers optional iCloud sync. Use the same Apple Account on both devices and enable sync on each one. See the release notes for sync availability in the released version.
If sync has a problem, check your system’s iCloud status, storage, network, and the app’s message, and keep a local backup. Turning sync off does not automatically delete cloud copies. Avoid deleting libraries or repeatedly switching accounts to troubleshoot.
Import existing content
Knowledge supports Markdown imports. Keep images referenced by relative paths alongside the Markdown in the selected folder. Remote images are downloaded during import.
Notion and Feishu imports require a connection with access to the relevant pages. Credentials stay in your device’s Keychain. Only import content you are authorized to access, and do not share tokens or secrets.
